Call for Abstract (Extend deadline to 06 June 2025)

Cochrane’s mission is to promote evidence-informed health decision-making by producing high-quality, relevant, accessible systematic reviews and other synthesized research evidence. With this in mind, you are to submit abstracts in the following categories:

  • • Searching and information retrieval

  • • Systematic reviews

  • • Diagnostic test accuracy review methods

  • • Qualitative evidence synthesis methodology

  • • Network meta-analysis

  • • Statistical methods

  • • Knowledge translation

  • • Non-randomized studies

  • • Investigating bias

  • • Evidence-based health care

  • • Shared-decision making

  • • EBM education and training

  • • AI applications

  • • Consumer involvement

  • • Equity in health research

  • • Transparency and integrity in systematic review

  • • Choosing wisely

Instructions for Abstracts

• Abstracts must be submitted via email.
• Abstract submission extended deadline to 06 June 2025, 23:59 UTC.
• Only abstracts submitted in English will be considered.
• The abstract title should not be more than 20 words.
• Abstracts must not be more than 500 words.
• The abstract should then follow the structure: Title of the Abstract, Background & Aims, Methods, Results, Significance/Impacts /Implications.
• If abbreviations are used, the abbreviated term should be written out in full the first time it is used.

All abstract submissions must be sent via e-mail. You will receive a confirmation email once your submission is received (please allow up to 3 business days for this). If you do not receive a confirmation email or need assistance with the submission process, please contact us at cochranetaiwan@tmu.edu.tw.

Acceptance and Notification of the Abstract

Submissions will be judged on their originality, clarity, scientific quality and their level of relevance to diversity and patient/ healthcare consumers.

Student registration Available from April 1, 2025 NTD 18,000 (≈USD 550)
Late/onsite registration Available from October 1, 2025 NTD 40,000 (≈USD 1,200)

** This event will be charged in New Taiwan Dollars (TWD).

** If you would like to use the student discount, please select the 'Student Member' option during registration and upload both sides of your student ID. We will manually verify the information and notify you when it's time to make the payment. Please note student registration is available to full-time students (undergraduate or postgraduate) only.



Cancellation Policy

Any requests for cancellations of your event registration must be notified in writing to Cochrane Taiwan by emailing cochranetaiwan@tmu.edu.tw. Event registration cancellations received in writing by September 19 2025 will be refunded in full, minus 10% administrative fee.
Cancellations received after that date will not receive refunds for any reason.

If for any reason that symposium is cancelled outside of Cochrane Taiwan’s reasonable control, Cochrane Taiwan will refund the full registration fee, minus 10% administrative fee.
